Track notes:  The song begins with a semi-free time almost artsy interpretive sort of flanged out guitar only rendition of When the children cry's intro, verse, and bridge.  The full band kicks in at Chorus #1, and the song gradually builds in arrangement from there.  On the original White Lion version there is no band kick in per say, only guitar backgrounds.  We decided to go another route as we're doing this song the way Van Halen might if they had done a cover of a it.  So it's not supposed to sound like White Lion, if it did, that of course would defeat the whole purpose of the "Van Halen style lesson".  The song has 2 solo sections as is typical with Van Halen style music.  There is a solo in the middle of the song that's done over the verse chord pattern, and then there are outro leads at the end of the song that are done over a doubled up chorus part.

I hope everyone enjoys the track and the lesson. -
