Lesson title: “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” – VH’izing cover songs part 17.

A true classic from the “Wizard of Oz“, HALEN’izid into a fantastic guitar lesson on not only Van Halen Techniques and application,
but also proper analysis of a song in order to do a proper and true re-make.

Lesson features: Video Lesson, Note for Note Tabs, Jam Tracks, and of course the song example, “Over the Rainbow“.

On the video lesson Jeff takes you through the tabs, but also he’ll take you through our process of forming guitar riffs out of actual sections from the original “Over the rainbow”.
This lesson is definitely one of the best lessons thus far in our VH’izing cover song online guitar lesson series.

Hey JFRocks.com visitors and friends. Below is a flash version of Jeff Fiorentino’s “Over the Rainbow” which was done as the song example for the upcoming VH’izing cover songs part 17 guitar lesson.

The full guitar lesson with Tabs, Video, and Jam Tracks will be available online at JFRocks.com on or by Friday 7/30/2010. For now you can check out the lesson’s example song in advance. Maybe try a little ear training on it and check what you figured out against the Tabs when they go online.

This lesson will be a very advanced lesson dealing with chord substitutions and melody riffing embellishments. Packed with tons of Van Halen-style tricks, licks and sound, this should be a great one.
