There are several adaptations to the Sunshine of your love main riff that
have been made for this VH style version...
The combination in places of the Flanger and Phase 90 together or a key
element especially for large growl dive bombs with the 6th string...
But other elements as far as riffing goes include altering the way a riff is
played in several different ways in the same song... See video lesson

SOLO
This solo is jam packed with VH techniques.
It's tough to solo over something like this main riffing in Sunshine of your
love with the VH style. VH likes a lot of chord changes and the rhythm
here pretty much is like Blues, it hangs on one chord for a long time. So
you have to be very creative with your leads.
In my opinion Jeff did a great job with these. This solo was improved and
there are some neat little licks in here. The tabs are accurate and laid
out in phrasing sections. A blind Monkey could follow the tabs below along
with the mp3. Skim them for ideas but I also suggest that you take note of
where the soloing is being done and over what chord. The worst thing that
can happen to a guitarist is to not know where to solo over a given D or F chord
for example. See the video lesson where I'm sure all of this will be
broken down and laid out for you.
