"The art of the Live Guitar Solo"

 

This lesson is VH live improv part 3.  The live guitar solo is the essence of Ed's style.  This is where he improvises and embellishes on his own stuff.  The live solo is a glimpse into his mind, and a great lesson to boot, if you're willing to take that lesson. 

On this lesson we'll talk about some classic VH techniques, and examine the flow of a live solo.  Be sure to listen to the example mp3 song track for this lesson, and PLEASE watch the whole video lesson, don't skip around..  There's a lot to take note of with a lesson like this.  I hope everyone gets a lot out of it.

Lesson

The main lesson here is Embellishment.  Live solos are a great way to watch Ed himself expand on, and embellish on his own techniques.  It can give you endless ideas of how to do it for yourself.. 

This lesson looks at a number of different techniques, and give some valuable practice tips.  The majority of this lesson is on Video..  However a rough "scrib note" tab of the Edmund Vin Heuton Live solo is below.  As always I encourage Embellishment, and only use what I give you here as a spring board for your own live solo ideas, be they VH style or not...
