Intro
This lesson is more about the guitar 2 part than the guitar 1 part but both
are important.
This is about Rhythm Rock Riffing in a multi guitar situation. It's a
lost art and we're going to take a lesson here from two band styles from the
80's which I've blended on this lesson's example song track. The two
band styles blended here are "The Scorpions", and "Queensryche"
The riffing itself is what I call classic chord rock riffing. It's
catchy and as was often the case in the 80's in particular it's rooted a lot
of of Diminished intervals. Please load the video for this lesson.
Erica did the tabs so they're probably pretty good and you should be able to
not only play along with the mp3 but also the Jam Track. My suggestion
is that when you play along, you do both guitar parts. Even the main
riff differs slightly between guitar 1 and guitar 2. See the video
lesson for the guts of things, but also review the tabs so you know what's
going on and how the song is laid out before you dive into the video..
