Intro
This is a very interpretive version of Silver Bells.. While the
chorus is what it is and is true to form with the traditional melody of the
song, the verse portion of the original song has been transformed into a
VH'ized arpeggio riff with spots of neo-classical influence.. This was
done to make this song more interesting and of course add a JFRocks
originality to it...
This verse section is used as the intro, verse, and outro of the song...
However, it is altered each time it comes around.. It was also played
with two guitars at the same time to add depth to it...
The solo is also over this verse chord pattern.. Speaking of the chord
pattern, the chords of the root rhythm are written in Blue over the tabs
themselves... What is tabbed is a classic JFRocks style "one guitar in
a live setting" transcription.. In other words the main guitar part..
With the tabs below you should be able to play along with the MP3 no
problem, and even create your own version to go with the provided Jam
Tracks...
There IS NOW A VIDEO Lesson
for this track thanks to your votes... Many of you wanted help
translating the tabs so we produced a short video to help you do just
that...
It's a tricky song in spots with some cool harmonic tricks and arpeggio
riffs, enjoy it, and even if you can't play it to speed yet, use it as a
slow practice exercise.. Either way you slice it, it's a hell of a
lesson...

Secondary Kick in
This prelude to the drum kick in is over the actual song's chorus part with
a slightly altered ending for drama purposes... The rhythm guitar is using
the MXR Stereo Flanger in a spin from left to right through the speakers..
It's doing the chords that are written above the tabs in Blue... The main
guitar 1 part is tabbed for you below...

Main Kick in and Verse part
This part is similar to our intro however it is done by 2 guitars playing at the
same time... It again is simply the actual "Silver Bells" song's verse
chord pattern, made into a cool Vh style arpeggio riff... You could easily
sing the song's verse part over this... Remember to apply a slight palm
mute to this...

Chorus
This is done with the actual melody from "Silver bells" however I've mixed
in some VH style harmonics to match certain pitches... There are some very
very tricky harmonic touches in this and it's part of what gives it the vibe it
has...
We've only transcribed the guitar 1 part... Guitar 2 does an echo effect
on what guitar 1 is playing and while it differs in some cases it's not the most
important part of the song so rather than confuse the tabs it's easier to give
this as I said in the intro text in a one guitar in a live setting type of
thing... I suggest using delay with the jam track to mimic the second
guitar part, that would be really cool I think....
*Be sure to keep your finger on
the 5th fret 3rd string or the tap harmonic h(17) will die out... It must ring
out...

the Vin Heuton Vh style lessons on the JFRocks website, or look for the mailbag
on harmonics on the mailbag archives page... which is located via link from the

SOLO
The solo is over the Verse chord pattern slightly altered with an extra G7
added at the end of the chord pattern as a turnaround... It has
more changes, and more chord changes are almost always better for any kind of VH
style or even neo-classical style lead....
The solo is divided into its individual phrasing sections for ease of reading
and following along.

Final
chord of the rhythm
This is the chord that guitar 2 is doing over the final open 3rd string w.b
vibrato above.. It's the final chord in the song and is allowed to
ring out.. But you should apply some Whammy bar vibrato to the chord, very
lightly though...
