As always the rhythm under
the solo is very important.. With this music the solos are usually
very wild. Metallica though was always very good about adding in some good
sounding phrasing sections. Not that other bands didn't but Metallica did
a good job of keeping the leads interesting, which isn't easy to do with this
rapid music...

This is just a big Metal
ending with a little double bass 101 in there.. Watch the timing
though, this is great timing practice because if everything doesn't hit just
right the whole thing gets thrown off..
**Guitars
1 and 2 play: Notice there are 6
hits of the power chord this time, not just the 4 that we normally do in
our transition riff. The bass drum is doing 8 fast 16th notes on this
ending part. The guitar fills in the remaining 2 left over after with
muted hits of the open 6th string, which is indicated in the tab below with x's.
