Kick
in
Use delay for 1st chord hit only. If
you want to turn the level down to 25%, and the F.Back down to 1.5 hits, it can
be used as a great reverb enhancer for the rest of the song...

Bridge
One of the mainstays of
Vito's style is breaking chords up. Simple chord patterns become 100
times more interesting as they're broken apart into little arpeggio sequences
and slick little transitions...

Chorus
The chorus is a mix of two
guitar parts. 1 part lets power chords ring out, and the other part
does a melody.. The melody is actually the most important part. It's
a good idea to draw some conclusions as to how all this works together.
I've done the same root chords as "Wait" however, I've written by own melody
part for it. The theory is the same either way you slice it. If you
were one guitar in a live setting, you would want to try to incorporate at least
some of the melody part. It's a key element to the track, that's often
overlooked by bands playing "Wait" out live in clubs.
Guitar 1 = Power chord part

Guitar 2 =
Melody parts (Blue Tab)

Solo
No effects were used by me, Chorus, light delay is
optional...
I've given you a ton of the
trademark "wait like" moves here in this solo. I have to walk a fine
line between copyrights, and lesson. What I've given you here is a
moderate skill level. Take it in pieces. Every line of tab can be a
lesson in and of itself... If you have trouble with a section, take it
slow, and try to get it down. These same techniques can help you translate
and understand any White Lion tabs you find. We'll talk about the
techniques involved with a solo like this on the Video lesson, and I'll demo the
pieces of it for you, to help you apply the tabs to the fret board....
The chord pattern this is over is a
basic, Am, G, D/F#, F chord pattern. Take note of the chords over the
leads. There's good lesson in them thar chords and they work with the
leads..
*Notes in parenthesis are
tapped**
*Notes in italic are held
over*
See video for help
with these leads and the techniques....

There's a couple different
ways to do sections like this, some tapped, and some not. Frankly the
tapped way as I did it sounds more vito in my book, however like I say I'll show
you others on the video lesson, but below is what I did for it..
